ABC Wednesday ~ W

ABC Wednesday ~ W

W is for Waterbottle. This is my favorite waterbottle that I take with me on my daily hikes. Its in this particular picture to show the relative size of these lovely Wild flowers. These are wild orchids that we call Yellow Ladyslippers and are in bloom right now. They can be twice this size. They grow out in the open in rocky soil.

Here's a closer view, You can see that the rim of the "slipper" is tinged with red. I am a big fan of Wildflowers and these are one of my favorites.

For more alphabet fun, please visit ABC Wednesday.

LOVE those pretty flowers. And the water bottle reminded me that I needed to drink some more water today. : ) Thank you!

A wonderful description of your day to day stuff! I too love to be outdoors and prefer to do as little housework as possible, infact the only housework i do seems to be tidying up after my german shepherds and my husband! lol!

I also love wildflowers. The slipper is called "pantoffeltje" in my language which means " little slipper". We also use the word slipper for open shoe, in the same way you use it.

Gorgeous lady slippers! They are the favorite state flower here in Minnesota but I've yet to see one. Love your blog! and the fact that you subscribe to doing as little housekeeping as possible.

I also love wildflowers.
Your water bottle really shows how small the Lady Slippers are. Good idea.

Beautiful orchids!! We have a lady's slipper orchid, but if I remember rightly, ours is pink. They're quite rare.

My waterbottle has an advert for Shamrock Greyhound Adoption on it!
